There are many types of ball games, but how about a game using balls that don't run in a straight line, a smaller ball called Jack, and the aim of the game is to get the ball that doesn't run in a straight line as close as possible to the smaller ball called Jack who sits, at what appears at first glance, an impossible distance from your starting point.
Welcome to South Cave Bowls Club Web Site
Welcome to the game of bowls, a game for all ages and abilities, which can be played indoors or outdoors, for fun or competition.
Free instruction and a chance to try the game on Sundays at 2pm.
South Cave Bowls Club has been active for over 50 years providing both social and league bowling.
The "People and Roles" page shows details of the General Committee, Club and Team Captains who are voted in yearly at the Club's AGM. It also lists the roles of other volunteers who maintain the green.
The site lists the competitions and leagues available to play in and other information forming the members' handbook.
Being a summer sport, the season runs from mid-April to mid-September. Once the green and clubhouse opens we welcome anyone who wishes to visit us, either as a potential member or just to be a spectator at the many matches taking place.
If you wish to join the club either contact the General Secretary by phone 01430 422102 or email an application form.
Membership is open to everyone from juniors to adults.
The current annual membership fee for adults is £40 and for juniors £10.
We welcome both existing bowlers and offer free coaching to new starters.
